Lahore Commissioner and Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, have directed the implementation of an online bidding system for the auctioning of plots and commercial properties. The decision was made during a meeting at the Commissioner’s office, where Randhawa expressed his commitment to supporting investors in acquiring the necessary documentation for commercial properties as part of the “Ease of Doing Business” initiatives.
The Lahore Development Authority aims to provide attractive investment opportunities in the provincial capital and generate resources in a manner similar to the private sector. In order to achieve this, the Commissioner and DG LDA instructed the IT Directorate to promptly develop an online bidding system.
Furthermore, Randhawa expressed his desire to attract a maximum number of investors, both domestically and internationally, through the online bidding system. By embracing technology, the aim is to streamline the process and facilitate wider participation in the auctioning of properties.
The meeting was attended by several key officials, including Chief Engineer Israr Saeed Khan, Additional DG Headquarters Imran Ali, Additional DG Housing Syed Munawar Bukhari, Director DG Headquarters Asif Hussain, and Director Finance, among others. The collective efforts of these officials and relevant officers will contribute to the successful implementation of the online bidding system and the facilitation of investors in the Lahore real estate market.
