Divisional Commissioner Noorul Amin Mengal, on Tuesday, said that a proposition has been drafted to form the Rawalpindi part of Peshawar Road – from Koral Chowk to Motorway Chowk – signal-free, and efforts are being made to incorporate this venture within the Yearly Improvement Program 2022-23. The commissioner said the fetched of this advancement is Rs 10 billion and the development of one flyover and four underpasses are included in it. Four underpasses at GPO Chowk, GHQ chowk, Qasim Market, and Military Hospital chowk will be constructed along with a flyover at Ammar Chowk. The commissioner said that the ace arrangement and design of the project have been arranged and it’ll diminish travel time between Koral Chowk and Motorway Chowk from one hour to 10 minutes.
